On May 24, Geely Automobile officially announced that its Geely Galaxy L7 will be officially launched on May 31, and the new car has been officially rolled off the production line at Geely Baoji Manufacturing Base. The new car is built on the e-CMA architecture, adopts the new design language of "Galaxy Ripple Aesthetic Design", and is fully equipped with Geely’s latest Aegis battery safety system, a new generation of Raytheon hybrid technology and a new automotive operating system Galaxy N OS.
As a hybrid model, the front face of the new car does not have the previous complicated front grille, but replaces the simple front face design similar to the pure electric model – behind this, the Geely Galaxy L7 adopts three-layer water cooling technology and a compact 3DHT design, which makes it possible to close the front cabin. The daytime running lights are integrated into the elements of "cornice bucket arch", the two sides are raised, and the middle part is narrow and long.
The new car has smoother lines and more aggressive rim design; the two-tone body also shapes the floating roof, which is very dynamic. The new car has a 2785mm wheelbase and a body length of 4700mm, which lays a better foundation for the inside of the car and the trunk space.
The large through taillights that extend from the rear fenders to the rear are very recognizable. The luminous logo hidden in the taillights is also very good. The rear is designed with an aerodynamic package of the roof and rear bars, which is consistent with the dynamic style of the whole vehicle.
In order to satisfy different users, the new car has six color schemes: dawn white, midnight black, dawn gray, clear sky blue, twilight mountain purple, and galaxy colorful white. It is worth mentioning that Geely Galaxy L7 has the world’s first mass-produced colorful white car paint, and it is also the world’s first time to conquer the application of TiO2 mass-produced car paint. It adopts a nano-scale double-layer paint spraying process, one layer is the whitest white on earth – TiO2 color paint layer, and then a layer of film formed by mixing TiO2 and SiO2 to form a nano-scale grating structure. The multiple reflections of light restore the brilliance of the galaxy.
The interior of the new car cabin is joined with Jingyao Star Ring light curtain ambient light, 3D texture lighting board, and also uses the industry’s first three-dimensional relief two-color injection molding process, the visual effect is more transparent. 10.25-inch instrument + 13.2-inch central control screen + 16.2-inch passenger screen + 25.6-inch AR HUD, four-screen intelligent interaction, to meet the intelligent experience of the whole car. The interior color scheme includes black jade, light brown, and sky white, which can be selected by the user. Zhiai cockpit uses Geely Galaxy L7 standard 8155 flagship cockpit chip at the hardware level, 7nm process, 128G storage memory, and super computing power, which provides a basic guarantee for the fast interactive experience of the new Galaxy N OS car system; Geely Galaxy L7 also has super cloud computing power support from Xingrui Smart Computing Center. Xingrui Smart Computing Center can realize 3.50 million smart cars online in real time, with a total computing power of 8.10 billion billion times per second in the cloud, which can fully empower Geely Galaxy L7 in the fields of intelligent networking, intelligent driving, and new energy security. In addition, Galaxy N OS also fully adapts all the APPs on board to make the operation smoother.
In terms of software, the Geely Galaxy L7 Smart Love cockpit is equipped with Geely Galaxy’s exclusive native smart cockpit system – Galaxy N OS, which realizes a smooth car experience of "second opening, second starting, second touch, second response". Among them, when the door is powered on, the hot start speed only needs 2s. At the same time, the desktop cards and applications of the system can be dragged and added independently, and the global can be customized. And Keyword Spotting only needs 0.5s, and also supports multi-tone recognition and continuous deep dialogue.
In addition, Geely Galaxy L7 has prepared "independent spaces" for different passengers. Through the independent sound zone of the main and co-pilot, the co-pilot can wear a Bluetooth headset to watch movies immersively, and the main driver can enjoy the sound of the car and the headrest; the sound of the co-pilot screen can also be played through the car stereo, and the main driver can play navigation and driving warning sounds through the headrest stereo; the main driver can also listen to music/navigation through the headrest stereo, and the whole car can be silenced to ensure a quiet rest for the co-pilot.
The new generation of Raytheon hybrid technology was first installed on Geely Galaxy L7, with a new generation of Raytheon hybrid engine B-Plus with the highest thermal efficiency of 44.26% in the world, which can achieve ultra-low power loss fuel consumption (WLTC condition) of the same level with a minimum of 5.23L – and can also achieve a comprehensive battery life of up to 1370 kilometers in CLTC conditions, without worries for long-distance travel.
In addition, there is a fully evolved 3 DHT Pro variable frequency electric drive, which is the world’s first intelligent electric drive to achieve P1 + P2 dual motor overclocking drive. When stepping on the accelerator deeply, the P1 motor can assist in driving, and can also realize ejection start, release more kinetic energy reserves, accelerate 6.9s for 100 kilometers; the extremely fast power response of the electric drive system allows users to obtain a more extreme electric driving experience. The PCM electric drive control system equipped with Geely Galaxy L7 can realize 300 million speed calculations per second, and 20 intelligent working conditions such as series, parallel, and hybrid can be quickly switched within 0.2 seconds. This set of power really solves the problem of "energy saving but not performance" of traditional hybrid products.
The new car introduces the Aegis battery safety system created by Geely and exclusive to Geely Galaxy. The technology includes a ten-grid architecture patent, cage protection for the whole vehicle, fast charging safety and worry-free, maternal and infant radiation protection, battery acupuncture does not catch fire, battery pack explosion-proof design, BMS3.0 "battery doctor" intelligent control system, Xingrui intelligent computing center 24-hour cloud guardian and other software and hardware designs to fully protect the battery.
