After many efforts, at 3:30 pm yesterday, more than 100 taxis suspended in Zhouzhi County gradually resumed normal operation.
Yesterday, this newspaper and many other media reported the news that more than 100 taxi drivers in Zhouzhi County gathered in Yunta Square in the county seat to stop operating collectively because of the resurgence of the illegal operation of the "black three wheels". After the taxi outage incident, the Zhouzhi County Party Committee and the county government attached great importance to it. County Chief Zhang Yinshou presided over an emergency meeting to study the requirements put forward by taxi drivers one by one, and deployed a thorough crackdown on the "black three wheels" and further governance and rectification of the passenger market order.
Learn from field experience to solve problems fundamentally
It is understood that in recent years, Zhouzhi County has been insisting on cracking down on the operation of illegal tricycles, but due to the lack of relevant legal basis and effective means (cannot be banned), the operation of illegal tricycles has rebounded from time to time. Recently, Zhouzhi County has consulted the relevant departments at the higher level on this topic, and learned from the practices and experiences of other places, and began to fundamentally solve the problem of illegal operation of tricycles. Liu Shulin, assistant to the county magistrate and director of the county public security bureau, is in charge. The county traffic police brigade takes the lead, and the transportation bureau cooperates to strengthen the police force, increase the intensity of the crackdown, and conduct uninterrupted patrols to resolutely crack down on the illegal operation of tricycles.
Transportation Bureau investigates and handles taxi company’s "arbitrary charging"
The owners demanded a complete solution to the problem of charging at the Heihe toll station in the past. The county and the Xi’an Municipal Transportation Bureau communicated and charged Zhouzhi taxis 100 yuan per car per year, which was less than one-tenth of the normal vehicle. In response to the taxi company’s "arbitrary charges" reported by the owners, the person in charge of the relevant department explained to the taxi driver on the spot that the risk deposit and insurance of the vehicle were charged according to regulations. As for the transaction fee charged by the company and the undisclosed account for the purchase of new cars, it was investigated and dealt with by the Transportation Bureau. The unreasonable charges were immediately refunded, and the public account was made public in a timely manner. Individual owners suggested a lighter penalty for taxi violations, and the traffic police department made it clear that it would further strictly enforce the law to ensure normal traffic and transportation order. The public security department also said that in the future, it will further increase its efforts to crack down on car bandits and road bullies, so as to provide a safer and more harmonious production and living environment for the general public.
All operations resumed at 4pm yesterday
Yesterday morning, the public security and transportation departments of Zhouzhi County have organized forces to patrol the streets and enforce the law, confiscating more than 10 "black three wheels", and other "black three wheels" have also stopped operating. Deputy county head Liu Wuzhou led the transportation, public security and other departments to work on the spot to receive the petitioning taxi drivers and continue to patiently do publicity and persuasion work. At 3:30 pm, the petitioning taxi drivers expressed satisfaction with the government’s work and gradually resumed operations. At 4 pm, all the suspended taxis concentrated in Yunta Square resumed operations.
